Yarr
Ahoy! I love how they tie in software piracy and "hacking" in with the l33t speak. I wonder how many parents would be totally busted if Microsoft found out they have the same copy of Windoze on more than one PC?

Kid Talk?
I also like how the url includes: security/children/kidtalk Characters of similar appearance can be used to replace the letters they resemble. For example, "5" or even "$" can replace the letter S. Applying this style, the word "leetspeek" can be written as "133t5p33k" or even "!337$p34k," with "4" replacing the letter A. Ah yes, "leetspeek." Wait a sec, "speek"? Come on MS, you guys totally rox0r the spellcheck, last I checked. Well, I guess it's about time we all start using all the ASCII characters as strings. "A cookie is just a cookie, but numbers are numeric OR text" leet SPEAK! Buy more vowels next time, 4$$.

Another
I was digging through my bookmarks this morning and discovered the BBC beat Microsoft to the l33t - back in 2002; and, of course, without the implications that it's use was correlated with software piracy. Instead, they offered a link to Megatokyo's speak l33t comic.
